The Code Compliance Officer is responsible for enforcement of Nuisance Ordinances adopted by the City as part of the Planning & Development Department. The Code Compliance Inspector is an hourly position responsible for identifying, documenting and resolving grass, garbage, illegal vehicles and other nuisance violations, within the administrative scope of the Planning & Development Department. Essential Functions Performs routine patrols and nuisance inspections Notifies and communicates directly with property owners and/or occupants of existing nuisance violations Maintains Department property files including documentation of violations Prepares violation reports Performs follow-up inspections of existing violations as required Attends Administrative Adjudication court as necessary Ability to enforce City ordinances with firmness, tact, and impartiality Preferred Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Excellent communication skills Basic personal computer knowledge Current & valid driver's license Experience working with public under emotionally stressful circumstances or fast-paced situations Bilingual - Preferred Job Posted by ApplicantPro
