A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGIONAL TRUCK DRIVER / CLASS A CDL HAZMAT DRIVER As a Regional Truck Driver / Class A CDL HAZMAT Driver, you are the person we count on to safely transport our propane tanks to customers and bring used tanks back to our plant for refurbishing. Our yard crews will have trailers loaded and unloaded for you. Unloading and loading at customers location will be completed with a truck-mounted knuckle boom crane. You will be responsible for securing and inspecting the cargo to ensure it is ready for transport. With attention to detail, you check the vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.When you reach your destination, you check the condition of your trailer after the contents have been unloaded for any damage. You report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage. You operate at all times with a safety-first mentality and serve as a role model of safety to new drivers and the community. ABOUT GRANBY INDUSTRIES TRANSPORT USA, LLC / FISCHER TANKS Fischer Tanks manufactures and refurbishes residential and commercial propane tanks, bringing them back to new condition. We transport our propane tanks mostly in the Midwest and the North East and occasionally into Canada.
