Alabama Goodwill- Marketing Specialist Full Time with Benefits MISSION CONTRIBUTION: This position is responsible for increasing awareness of the mission of Alabama Goodwill Industries (AGI) within the community for the express purpose of increasing the number of people served and placed, donors, transactions, and transaction value for AGI to further our mission of helping people overcome employment barriers and gain self-sufficiency. SUMMARY: The Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing the development and production of branding and communication materials for AGI. In this capacity, the position collaborates with the Director of Marketing and Fundraising to design, review, and assist in developing communication materials, proposals, and digital marketing campaigns to ensure the efficient pursuit of material donations and philanthropic support. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Designs and manages all content creation for social media platforms and AGI public website. Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as email, social media, digital campaigns, and special events. Facilitates the disbursement of all marketing materials to stores, donation centers, and community events. Maintains and keeps information current on the organization's website and social media platforms and responds to comments or posts, ensuring inappropriate posts are removed under the Director of Marketing and Fundraising's guidance. Ensures branding guidelines are met. Coordinates special events and corporate recognition assists with community activities and attends company-wide projects and events. Supports strategic marketing plan initiatives. Assists in the graphic design of collateral and store materials to consistently articulate Alabama Goodwill's mission, such as ads, annual reports, newsletters, etc. Identifies opportunities for speaking engagements, grants, and community partnerships that will further the mission. Interfaces with community partners and ambassadors to promote and advance our collective work. Supports and coordinates AGI fundraising activities. Attends in-service and related training as assigned by the team leader. Recommends and devises process enhancements specifically for marketing requests. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Effectively communicate person to person and with large groups. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Develop content calendar plans to meet changing organizational needs. Graphic design and ability to work in the Adobe Suite of products. Skilled in writing and editing content with attention to detail. Work independently and as part of a team-based organization. Develop and maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred 2-5 years of experience in marketing or equivalent experience. Graphic Design Portfolio preferred SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends. This position may require travel to multiple locations. Incumbent must possess a valid driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage, and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout AGI territory to visit stores and locations. Under special circumstances, the incumbent may be required to drive a company vehicle. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 50lbs.
