The Job at a Glance The Member Experience Specialist is responsible for providing training and development to the Central Illinois Region resulting in a talented and motivated sales force and CU1 staff. The primary role is to improve and increase the sales productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization. They will deliver direct sales training strategies and activities required to drive the development of our Credit Union 1 employees. The Sales Development Specialist works alongside the Sales Development Manager to produce successful training offerings, acting as an "internal trainer" to the region VP, management, and teams, helping them understand the learning frameworks and how to provide the development most needed to the defined audience(s). A Typical Day Conduct training for new and current sales associates and staff to promote a consistent approach to elite member experience and trains staff on the use of supporting systems and technology. Develop individualized training plans for underperforming team members to improve performance. Facilitate training events for individuals and teams. Observe encounters and determine the training needs for individuals and/or teams. Assist managers in developing their employees' sales, services, and technical skills. Stay updated with current market trends, technology, and the changing demands of the corporate sales environment. Utilize knowledge of e-learning to develop continuous learning initiatives (product or selling skill specific) to support the ongoing development of the team. Identify best practices and recommended process improvements or program changes to managers and VPs. Partners with MX team to design and develop instructional courses and training materials. Facilitates skills-based training programs; leverages internal expertise and 3rd party services to provide focused training sessions. Embraces and encourages the use of new technologies and efficiencies company wide. Monitors, track, measures and gathers feedback on sales training initiatives. Ensures training programs are aligned with Credit Union 1 programs and initiatives. What We Look For Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development or related field of study preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and/or training. 5+ years of in sales training, teaching, or related sales experience. Strong organization skills, meticulous, and public speaker experience moderating large groups. Ability to cultivate remote relationships and drive work in dispersed locations. Highly developed technical skills and product knowledge on tools that support sales. Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills. Self-motivated and goal oriented.
