For more information, please visit our web site at www.powermation.com . Power/mation has an immediate career opportunity for a Sr Accountant in our Headquarters in St Paul, MN. This individual will support core processes and strategic initiatives by analyzing data, preparing reports, performing research, and building tools, all with the goal of driving better decision-making and more effective operations. This position will also be responsible for month-end close tasks, SGA analysis, calculating and submitting vendor rebates and cash application. To excel in this role, you will need to have a genuine interest in providing information that will solve real business challenges, strong analytical abilities, and a keen interest to make an impact on our fast-growing operations. KEY RESULT AREAS: Tracking, calculating and submission of vendor rebates Work with other departments to accurately track vendor rebates and reconcile monthly. Account Reconciliation Monthly reconciliation of cash, bank, balance sheet, and other accounts. Month End Close Assist with month end, quarter end and year end close. Compile and analyze financial reporting. Cross trains with Staff Accountants and is able to perform those duties when needed. Inventory adjustments Sales and Use Tax filing Daily Banking transaction tracking and posting Conducts special studies and completes other projects as assigned. Maintain the capital asset schedule. Prepares year-end audit work papers for the outside auditors and various other statements and reports. Other duties as assigned by management. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. One-year related experience, or eight years experience in accounting in various accounting areas and two years Trend experience.
