Apply Here- https://chicago.taleo.net/careersection/100/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en COORDINATOR OF MAINTENANCE REPAIRS CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION DUTIES: Inventory, number, tag and add new equipment to the PM program. Perform terminal and ground inspection and interact with the trades, other CDA personnel and airport tenants. Perform terminal and ground (including public restrooms) quality inspection, monitor the quality of repair and maintenance of work completed by CDA trades or contractors to ensure the quality of workmanship and compliance with predetermined standards. Walk the terminals and ground to inspect and monitor the quality of repair and maintenance. Assist in the development if quality control procedures and in the evaluation of existing repair and maintenance procedures and techniques. Randomly select completed work orders to audit them. Oversee and coordinate projects with CDA trades/contractors. Assist maintenance personnel in the planning and scheduling of all work associated with the installation, replacement, and repair of equipment/facilities. Receive work request by phone, fax, mail, or e-mail from tenants and CDA personnel. Turn work requests into work orders by estimating completion time and selecting the right trade(s) and close those work orders after the job is completed. Create scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) work orders and close them once they are returned. Maintain mechanical, electrical, and other equipment database for the airport; update current data and enter new data. Follow-up on open work orders. Create status reports, do analysis and follow-up, create reports as needed and by request. Perform special projects as requested. Performs other duties as required. CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION Location: O'Hare International Airport Shift: Monday - Friday (May be required to work some holidays/weekends) Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Candidate(s) selected for hire must pass a background check and a Security Threat Assessment (STA). THIS POSITION IS IN THE CAREER SERVICE Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Three years of skilled trades maintenance and repair work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
