Corporate Supplier Quality 4M Mgmt Engineer

Reports To: Quality Manager or Quality General Manager Description: Reporting to the Quality Management, the Supplier Quality 4M Management Engineer is responsible for supplier development, focused on supplier improvement activities, supplier performance analysis, and Tier N Audits in addition to 4M change management process. Responsibilities: Issue corrective actions to improve supplier Audit result through the use of "8D" Provide Gap analysis for supplier development and evaluate progress throughout the development cycle Evaluate the results of "8D" responses to Audit findings for acceptability of corrective actions or future follow up Interact with external customers, internal customers, and suppliers in a businesslike manner Meets quality and quantity levels of assigned work, housekeeping, and safe work practices Coordinates supplier rejected material movement with Production Departments, Production Control, Receiving Inspection, and Suppliers; for those suppliers who are considered as special risk to the organization Generate reports, graphs, and charts as needed Oversees data collection and interpretation to coordinate improvement efforts with suppliers Assists receiving inspection personnel with inspection of materials/products for aesthetic and dimensional accuracy Provides KNA, Inc quality expectations for purchased materials/products to suppliers Facilitates 4M Change Management process for the supply base Manages direct ship supply base to ensure part quality to OEM Requests, reviews, and approves PPAP's for direct ship supply base Monitor and enforce IATF 16949 & ISO 14001 policies and procedures Verify the accuracy of all documentation Perform supplier audits outside the above scope with approval of Quality Manager or above Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer Education Completed 4 year College degree or equivalent work related experience Experience: 6 year's experience in a Manufacturing facility in the fields of Process Engineer, IT, or Quality Skills: Strong mathematical skills, written skills, and verbal skills Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc... Strong interpersonal and good organizational skills Capable of overall professionalism in a business environment Training Specific to Position: Computer literate Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc... Completed Lead Auditor Training, and VW Supplier Audit Training Other Ability to travel for extended periods of time with limited prior notice Must be able to work any assigned shift Work Environment: This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud Physical Demands: The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures Job Posted by ApplicantPro
