Dr. Sam’s Veterinary House Calls is a progressive,growing, privately owned and operated small animal veterinary practice that provides homevisits but also has a standing practice to continue care when care cannot be provided in home.Our small standing practice is equipped to perform surgeries/dentals in our surgery suite or seeappointments to augment our already thriving house call practice. We are looking for a full-timeor part-time team-oriented, enthusiastic, small animal associate veterinarian who places a priorityon helping to deliver high quality medicine to our patients and a positive relationship to ourclients. Our small team-oriented practice focuses on low stress handling to the benefit of ourpatients, clients, and staff. (Most of our team members are low stress handling certified.) Oursmall family-oriented team is friendly and positive and try to make the most out of whatever theday brings us. We love what we do, and we love who we work with, but we still understand theimportance of family and personal time. As a small private practice, this priority to family helpsus balance our lives and therefore helps us to stay mentally healthy so we can continue toprovide the best medicine we can.Dr. Sam’s Veterinary House Calls is a full-service veterinary practice with a standing cliniclocated in the Lehigh Valley (Allentown area) in eastern Pennsylvania. Our medical careencompasses everything from new puppy/kitten exams, to sick pets, to hospice care. We utilize avariety of portable diagnostic equipment, including mobile radiographs, mobile ultrasound, andportable cold therapy laser. Working in home allows us to foster close patient and clientrelationships, while our clinic allows us the option to see patients in clinic and to performsurgeries and procedures.Our full-time benefits include: medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability insurance,matching IRA plan, Monday-Friday work week with the flexibility to do either a 4 or 5 day workschedule for a full time schedule, paid major holidays off, CE allowance, uniform allowance,paid time off, and a well-trained friendly staff. We encourage continued staff education andfoster a genuine curiosity and love for the veterinary field. We are flexible on compensation butmost of the full time associates choose base compensation with quarterly production. Basecompensation will be based on experience and desired hours that want to be worked. Productionpay is paid quarterly with no accumulated deficit pay. Qualifications - Great communications skills, compassion, and the ability to form a friendly professionalrapport with clients- Team player- Passionate about providing high quality levels of patient care- DVM/VMD (Required)- The flexibility/adaptability to work in the clinic and travel for house calls Responsibilities - Your typical day as a hybrid (in clinic and traveling) veterinarian will consist of a housecalls/travel appointments along with “in office” appointment will be pre-arranged andplanned out in an efficient way to minimize stress and complications. Our appointmentsrange from wellness, to sick patients, to euthanasias.- Your veterinary nurse will travel along with the doctor to help during appointments,along with the responsibility of keeping supplies/drugs stocked in vehicle. This will allowyou to focus purely on what you do best, providing veterinary care, enjoying clientinteractions, and education.
