Faculty position in Computational Immunogenetics, UCLA Immunogenetics Center, Department of Pathology and Laboratory MedicineUniversity of California Los AngelesRequisition Number: JPF09057The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, Division of Immunogenetics, is searching for a faculty with the skills and interest to develop a strong career that focuses on the intersection between Immunogenetics, Histocompatibility, Transplantation immunology, and Data science. The appointment would be at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, as appropriate. This is an outstanding opportunity for a well-trained and highly motivated individual to assist with the direction and future growth of a robust Immunogenetics informatics program.We seek individuals with demonstrated expertise in the application of bioinformatics, biostatistics, computational modeling, and machine learning methods. This individual will have a collaborative administrative, clinical, and academic relationship with other faculty within the Division of Immunogenetics. Specific areas of interest may include, but are not limited to: automated histocompatibility assessment, phenotype discovery, immune response prediction, biomarker development, integration and management of multi-modal datasets, and analysis of multivariate, longitudinal, and time-to-event data. Expertise in hardware implementation strategies, file formats, and software pipelines for working with high-resolution imaging data is expected.Candidates are expected to have a PhD, MD, MD/PhD degree, or equivalent. Advanced degrees or significant research experience in Computational Immunology and/or Immunogenetics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or a related field are preferred. Individuals should have demonstrated significant research accomplishment and/or potential, and have a commitment to teaching, mentorship, and supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion. See Table 5 Scale 3. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $350,000.
