The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality legal service focused on the provision of advice and assistance relating to Commercial law. ROLE: Commercial Lawyer LOCATION: East Anglia – hybrid working SALARY: £62,242 - £75,645Key Responsibilities Manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision and provide legal advice and assistance regarding a mix but not all of transport law, commercial law, contract and procurement, corporate & company law, Governance and Information Governance. Lead and assist on matters which involve commercial law, contract and procurement, and corporate & company law, Governance and Information Governance. Advise Combined Authority colleagues, elected members, private sector Business Board members and key stakeholders on sensitive and highly complex legal matters. What We're Looking For A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with strong Commercial law experience Ideally someone who has worked directly for a local authority previously. The authority is willing to consider candidates who have worked with public sector organisations from a private practice Experience and knowledge of transport law including bus network, bus contracts, bus franchising, rail and highways.
