Do you consider yourself to be someone who works well under pressure? If that's the case, our busy quick-service restaurant has a great opening for a cook like you. Someone with experience setting up food service areas, preparing a high volume of food, and maintaining proper food storage conditions is desired. An interest in learning and prior work experience in the food industry are ideal qualities for the position. We need someone who can perform well under pressure, can prioritize their tasks, and can work well with others on the crew. This position is open right now if that sounds like you! Responsibilities: • Recognize and adhere to quality requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products, as well as correct storage and waste management• Clean and sanitize all workstations, including counters, utensils, cooking equipment, and the refrigerator, in accordance with health and safety regulations• Ready food stations by washing, cutting, dicing, and chopping items needed for food prep• Use thermometers to check that food has reached an appropriate temperature before serving it• Finish each shift by sweeping the floor, mopping, cleaning countertops, and wiping down any other surfaces that were used Qualifications: • Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements• Prior fast food or quick service restaurant industry experience is highly desired• Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Compensation: $10 - $14 hourly About Company: Slice Street Pizza is a fresh new take-out, delivery, and drive-thru pizza concept, committed to the notion that you should be able to get Great Food, at Great Prices, with Great speed.
