Job Description: Allied Materials and Equipment Company is looking for an individual to assist with the management of our textile embroidery facility in Bogalusa, Louisiana. This facility currently operates three shifts daily in the manufacturing of embroidered star fields for American flags. This is a fast-paced manufacturing operation that requires an individual with a strong mechanical aptitude. Commercial embroidery experience or sewing experience is a strong plus. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has the strong desire to learn and advance. Essential Duties: Maintain and monitor the performance of Embroidery production equipment. Supervise production operations; assign and direct employees. Analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers in solving work problems. Recruit, train and motivate staff, ensure all company policies and procedures are understood and followed. Assist with machine set-ups and change overs. Assist and ultimately perform machine maintenance and repairs. Maintain accurate daily paperwork including shipping and receiving records, inventory activities, time and production records. Schedule production for the loom department and finishing departments. Understand and interpret the quality standards established for all operations. Review and manage quality of product throughout process. Inspect and measure production items to verify conformance to specifications. Monitor machine operations to detect problems, such as defective stitching, break in thread, or machine malfunction. Implement continuous improvement activities to reduce scrap and increase productivity. Qualifications: Two-year certificate from college or technical school. Three years experience and/or training in a manufacturing maintenance or supervisory position. Industrial embroidery or sewing experience is a strong plus. Whatever it takes attitude.
