Located in the heart of Niagara Wine Country, we pride ourselves on being the definitive wine and food experience with regionally inspired cuisine, awe-inspiring service and award winning wines. We are looking for a creative and focused leader to join Chef Frank Dodd and his culinary team. The successful candidate will assist in the development and delivery of a high quality food program, enforce the high standards of mis en place, product and product which includes lunch and dinner service and may include off site and promotional menus. The successful candidate will be accountable for: Developing standards of service and ensuring that they are met for each guest Training, coaching, and motivating all kitchen staff Taking full responsibility during the Chef's absence from the kitchen Assisting the Chef in the development of innovative menu's and daily features Assisting the Chef de Cuisine in menu cost analysis and recipe definition Accounting control and ensuring all reports are submitted on a timely basis Attending meetings on behalf of the Chef The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills: Post-secondary education in food/beverage/hospitality studies (Hospitality Degree preferred, International Sommelier Guild designation would be a definite asset) Minimum of three (3) years restaurant management experience Proven organizational and time management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience in group training and coaching Legally able to work in Canada Able to work evenings and weekends Interested applicants are asked to forward a detailed resume with a cover letter no later than March 13, 2015.
