The Assessment and Resource Center for Autism and Neurodiversity (ARC) is looking for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or related licensed therapist (LMSW, LMFT, etc) to join our purpose-driven, values-based team in Frisco, Texas. Job Summary: The ideal candidate is passionate about helping families with children with special needs by elevating the standard of therapeutic treatment to aid in providing the best course of treatment. The right person will be primarily responsible for properly conducting intake consultation appointments and providing life-changing, comprehensive, specialized therapy sessions. Responsibilities include interviewing clients for treatment planning and therapeutic need, aiding in determining the necessity of neuropsychological evaluation to assist with treatment planning, implementing effective communication and delivery of clinical information to patients and families, and providing counseling sessions that prove to shift and grow psychological mindset. Responsibilities: Interview parents and patients for clarification of assessment and therapy needs Developing appropriate treatment plans based on client need and assessment results Provide therapeutic interventions as defined in competencies for a Master's Level Counseling associate and licensed LPC Provide written summaries of patient’s progress in therapy Provide comprehensive, concise, clear, and thorough feedback parents and clients under the supervision of clinical psychologist Attend training conferences offered by the supervising clinical psychologist and outside organizations. Participate in establishing job requirements and goals; perform duties at the desired level of competency. Review and ensure timeliness, accuracy, availability, and security of information. Comply with Infection Control and Health and Safety policies and procedures. Understands, adheres to, and models Core Standards as defined organizationally and specifically within the practice. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Master's Degree or higher LPC, LMSW, LMFT or similar professional practicing license as issued by the Texas State Licensing Boards Specialty focus in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), or other form of trauma-based theories and therapies (EFT, CPT, etc) One year of independent experience Interest in working with others and helping individuals with neurodiversity, trauma, and personality maladjustment Good communication and interpersonal skills, including consistently demonstrating a friendly demeanor and positive attitude Excellent written and verbal communication Proactive thinker and detailed planner Ability to handle information confidentially Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment Experience meeting regular deadlines Ability to continually learn and grow in your knowledge base within this field Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel About ARC: The Assessment and Resource Center for Autism and Neurodiversity (ARC) exists to elevate the standard of assessment and course of treatment for neuropsychological conditions, focusing on individuals with special needs. Dr. Gayoso helps individuals and families formulate a personalized plan to target the person’s total needs.
