JOB DESCRIPTIONSummaryOpportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join Adient's automotive metal seat frame welding plant in Battle Creek, MI. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance in a production environment. The shift hours for this second shift role are: 1:45pm-10:15pm.Essential Duties and Responsibilities * The Maintenance Technician is responsible for fixing equipment as needed, changeovers, PMs and troubleshooting of equipment. * Must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting. * Ability and willingness to diagnose and repair the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects of a wide variety of machines. * Working knowledge of PLC's * Perform quality checks. * Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.Education / Experience / Skills * High School Education or Equivalent (GED) * Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor preferred.Qualifications * Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor preferred. Degree or certification from a college or university is required if you do not possess a Journeyman's card. * Previous experience working as a Millwright, Electrician or Machine repair in an automotive manufacturing environment. * Experience working in an automotive sheet metal stamping facility. * Experience with large transfer and progressive dies a plus * Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework. * Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc. * Ability to solve problems and work with support personnel.COMPANY INFORMATION: Adient is a global leader in automotive seating.
