Position Description: The Skyline Junior Design Consultant’s primary focus is to assist Design Consultants in acquiring and retaining long-term, quality clients through our lead generation process, assisting in converting leads into sales through the execution of our orchestrated sales process, and providing products, services, and information that our customers will perceive as emotionally satisfying. Lead Generation/Pipeline Building (40%) Assist Design Consultants in cultivating leads and representing the Skyline brand to prospective customers. Assist in prospecting for new clients. Collaborate with Design Consultants to follow-up on leads and cultivate a pipeline of prospects. Call on design firms, architectural firms, property management group and general contractors. Help prospects understand the process and resources offered by Skyline. Attend Design Consultant meetings, lunch and learns and introduction meetings to potential customers. Review during these meetings who we are and what we do. (In-person and video conference) Serve as a brand ambassador for Skyline and identify ideal prospect. Assist in preparing and delivering sales performance and pipeline reports to the Director of Corporate Interiors. Sales Consulting/Estimating Process (30%) Prepare by studying and reviewing blueprints/plans and anticipate questions and analyze for any concerns. Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving while working with the client during the quoting process. Collaborate with Skyline team members to ensure an optimal outcome. Assist in the Bidding process – RFI, develop follow-up questions, meet deadline for questions, paperwork and forms that need to be completed, prepare the collection and completion of forms and information needed to complete the bidding process. Rough Order Magnitude for budgetary proposals. Working with the estimators. (30-40%) Client Services/Relationship Management (30%) Client Integration and Project Kick-Off Assist Design Consultants in maintaining relationships with current clients during open projects. Upon completion of the Bidding process, the Design Consultant will hand off the customer to the Project Management team. Work collaboratively with Design Consultant, Project Manager, Estimator, Detailing/Art team and Fabrication to communicate customer information and debrief the team and provide introductions to key client representatives to ensure a smooth transition. Review weekly update reports provided by the Project Management team. Collaborate with Design Consultant to follow-up with the client and assist in the process of communicating new information to the customer. Obstacles and deadlines need to be proactively delivered. Invoice Billing Prepare documentation required for Design Consultant to invoice customers monthly and in accordance with AIA/Progressive Billing principles. Adhere to accounting guidelines for deposits, review invoices for accuracy, and assist with collections, if necessary. CRM Updates Assist in following up on open tasks to check on current customers. Record the client temperature and satisfaction level. Capture referrals and client testimonials Competencies: Effective sales and negotiation skills Self-starter and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to get results and resolve customer needs. Ability to investigate and find the root cause of issues and follow through with corrective actions. Proficient in Microsoft Office suites Candidate Should Possess: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant experience with customer service, production and/or sales.
