We are seeking aSr. Medical Office Coordinatorwhowill serve as scheduling coordinator for patients, their families, referring physicians and third-party carriers with regard to patient related issues. Will troubleshoot issues as they arise and provide resolution in a timely and sensitive manner. Assume administrative tasks and special projects as requested by team lead or manager. Works with others in a team environment, great attention to detail and communicates effectively at all times.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all aspects of patient care in Medical Oncology. Ensure effective interpersonal communication by answering all calls within 3 rings, minimizing caller's time on hold and speaks in a friendly and helpful tone. Schedule appointments and/or make referrals as appropriate. Respond to inquiries regarding patients and referrals. Schedules and confirms appointments, directs calls to appropriate personnel.Identify possible emergency calls from patients and provides resolution. Notify provider of emergency issues and schedule emergency appointments as deemed necessary.Schedule patients for laboratory tests, scans, chemotherapy, and procedures. Resolve any scheduling conflicts. Relay information to patients regarding preparation for laboratory tests, scans, and procedures.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or graduation equivalent.Three years progressively responsible medical office experience. Medical terminology required.
