UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Assurance (Tech Support Specialist 5) opportunity for our customer in Aiken, SC to support the Savannah River Site.Quality Assurance (Tech Support Specialist 5)Close Date:11/08/2023 DUTIESExtensive knowledge of quality and safety requirements for the nuclear industry and general industrial practices. Develop and revise Quality procedures in accordance with SRNS requirements, applicable standards (e.g., NQA-1-2019), and government regulations. Works with both Quality, Procurement, Engineering, and Operations Departments to create, revise and approve documents to be used by procurement for the purchase of material and services.Subcontractor shall be responsible for the management and execution of assigned programs/projects in accordance with the requirements of SRNS, and the operating policies and principles. The Subcontractor is accountable for the execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and required specifications for the project.QUALIFICATIONSPh. D degree with specialized technical training or master's degree with specialized technical training or bachelor's degree with extensive, highly specialized training.The following table shows the Equivalency Requirements that may be applied in lieu of education and experience. The evaluation must explain in detail when using these equivalences:* B.S./B.A. = Four (4) additional general experience* M.S./M.A. = Six (6) years additional general experience* Ph.D. = Eight (8) years additional general experienceMinimum of 15 years supporting commercial or federal science, nuclear engineering or other task relevant programs or projects.Foster a work environment that promotes safety, quality, openness, trust, communication, teamwork, and customer satisfaction.Review and comment on selected engineering and procurement documents to ensure the inclusion of applicable technical and quality requirements.Review/Approve; Level I and Level II Purchase Requisitions, Design Output Documents, Work Instructions, Nonconformance Reports, Quality Inspection Plans, Software Quality Plans, Software Classification Documents, Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) documents.Review and comment on selected engineering and procurement documents to ensure the inclusion of applicable technical and quality requirements.Develop/Revise Quality procedures in accordance with customer requirements, applicable standards (e.g., NQA-1-2019), and government regulations.Understanding of and ability to communicate technical information required.Exhibit good interpersonal and observational skills.Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance.Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance ("L" or "Q") within the past two years.US Citizenship RequiredWork Hours: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules, including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch. Work hours in excess of forty hours a week may be required, as authorized by SRNS management.Area Security Access:Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance. Supplier shall possess a positive FOCI determination from DOE which includes "Q" security clearance level. An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties while clearance request is processing. After award, the selected candidate will benotified when to apply for a clearance based on specific work assignments.
