Job Title: Administrative Religious Education Coordinator Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground , MD 21005 Duties: The Applicant shall support comprehensive religious education programs which run concurrently with the traditional academic year (AY). The Applicant shall support and facilitate ecumenical activities in consultation with the Catholic and/or Protestant Chaplain. and Director of Religious Education (DRE) i.e., a one (1) week Vacation Bible School (VBS), picnics, year round Youth of the Chapel programs, retreats, etc.in collaboration with Chaplains, Religious Affairs Specialists, Directors of Religious Education, Volunteers, other Chapel Applicants, and Civilian workforce. Qualification: Demonstrate a familiarity with and a commitment to support the Catholic Faith and practice as articulated by the documents of The Second Vatican Council and the subsequent statements of the American Conference of Catholic Bishops. Experience in teaching. Have excellent organization and planning skills. Possess basic word-processing skills. Experience working in a military environment is preferred. Applicant must be willing to work in a pluralistic environment where they may come in contact with members from various faith groups and/or viewpoints.
