Requisition ID 30691 Category Sales Support Position Type Full-Time Overview Canon USA is currently seeking a Software Solutions Consultant (Consultant, Solutions). This individual will play a key role in introducing emerging technologies to drive efficiencies for customer prospects in our federal sales channel, using your customer relationship skills and aptitude for technology demonstrations. If you enjoy learning new technologies and working with a dynamic team to introduce cutting edge solutions to the market, this is the job for you! You will be responsible for recommending complex solutions that may include customized software and services that integrate with customer systems. Engage with accounts at various stages of the sales process or customer solution delivery cycle. Offer support in the form of customer needs discovery, solution feasibility, solutions demonstration and provide solution configuration recommendations. A key function of this role includes solution training to partners and customers on functionality and usage, as well as participating in sales and marketing events (conferences, webinars, and trade shows) to present Canon solutions and technology. Candidate must reside within the Washington D.C. metro area.This position is full time and is considered virtual. The office will be open 5 days a week; however you will not be required to report to the office unless there is a specific business need. Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs. Responsibilities - Retain function and technical subject matter expertise of Canon solutions with the ability to demonstrate, train and develop proof of concept solution delivery- Provide technical and administrative support to customer accounts to ensure outstanding relationships and excellent customer satisfaction- Work with Solution Delivery and Engineering teams to maintain demonstration environments and ensure they are fully functional with the latest solution functionality at all times and offer recommendations for improvement- Deliver solution training and assist in coordination of new training initiatives and programs to internal and external customers- Establish and maintain high level relationships with sales prospects, customers and partners that enhance long term working partnerships- Identify needs and create knowledge base articles including: FAQ's, Technical Tips and Functional Usage Tips designed for customer self-service orientation- Participate in sales, marketing and solution delivery project and planning meetings, working with internal team members and customers- Works closelywith the bid response team to analyzeand respond to federal bids Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 5 years of related experience in sales support preferred. Degree in business administration with a technology focus is a plus- Experience with system integration, enterprise printing, document imaging, capture technology, electronic content management and business process automation desired- Software Technical Sales Support within the federal space is desired- Experience with the Federal Risk and Authorization Program (FedRAMP) is a plus- Ability to learn and master new technologies and solutions with a consultative approach required- Enterprise-level business experience with strong problem solving and documentation skills a must- A strong understanding of the federal procurement process and applicable purchasing vehicles- Strong interpersonal skills with superior written and verbal communication skills- Extremely detail oriented and customer focused- Ability to travel overnight, up to 25%- May require considerable travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
