We’re seeking a Service Technician with experience in Security/Physical Access Control Systems to immediately join our Austin team. As a Service Technician you are the core role in the service department. This position is critical to the success of the department and requires an acute technical background of security integration. This position also requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work effectively and independently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Communicate with clients about the condition of their system and recommend upgrades to keep them current with latest security technology. 2. Maintain and Test multi security system for Clients that have service contracts in place. 3. Troubleshoot technics to determine what type of problem may exist and to facilitate a corrective action to solve the problem. 4. Required to time stamp progress in Blue Folder ticket system for real time updates to customers 5. Work effectively and independently thru multiple service calls daily 6. Produce timely and detailed service reports. 7. Build positive relationship with clients. 8. Share new technical information or knowledge to Operations installation department. 9. Communicate with coordination team on next steps and needs discovered in calls. 10. Be accountable for continuous development and growth within the department. 11. Maintain the highest level of integrity when dealing with customers or colleagues. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer) and a variety of software for various applications in the security integrations industry. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Multiple manufacture certifications for access control, communication systems, intrusion and surveillance systems. Advanced logic and programming courses (trade specific).
