Java Full Stack Developer (Remote)Cognizant's Digital EngineeringOur practice is seeking a highly qualified Java Full Stack Developer with extensive experience in design, development, testing and operational support of Java/J2EE based applications. Our Developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Above all, we judge success by the success of our team and the happiness of our customers.**Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future**Location: Charlotte, NC; Remote or VariousResponsibilities and Qualifications* Bachelor's in Engineering/Computer science.* 5 to 8 years of total software development experience.* Hands-on experience in design, development, testing and operational support of Java, J2EE, JMS, SOAP/REST, SQL, JSON and XML based applications.* Good Understanding of Object-Oriented design and development.* Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with understanding of Web Services (REST and SOAP).* Experience with Java based frameworks: JPA, Spring Boot, Spring Hibernate, etc.* Experience with Microservices and design patterns.* Agile Scrum experience. while displaying familiarity/experience with other SDLC approaches.* Good SQL and database knowledge.* Experience with JBOSS Studio Eclipse and/similar IDE tools.* Knowledge of build/dependency management tools such as Maven and SCM tools like Subversion Bit Bucket GitHub etc.* Experience in application containerization familiar with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Platform9, ECS, EKS, Openshift, Cloud Foundry.* Exposure to any cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).* Exposure to services (or their equivalent ones) like API, Gateway, IAM, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, EKS, ECS, Kafka, etc.Travel: 0-5%Why Choose Cognizant?Our associates enjoy robust benefits and training opportunities from our industry recognized, award winning Academy team.
