We are seeking a Medical Training Program Manager. This position is dedicated to the educational and clinical teaching mission of the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center. The position manages the Hematology/Medical Oncology Fellowship Program and is administratively responsible for the activities of the SKCCC Moonlighting Program.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesHematology & Medical Oncology Fellowship AdministrationProvides overall management of the Hematology & Medical Oncology Fellowship Training Program and supervises the Fellowship Program Coordinators. Manages application for Program Accreditation and ensures compliance with Council for General Medical Education (ACGME) guidelines. Oversees JHU SOM GME requirements and ensures compliance with clinical and research metrics as relevant. Develops the annual budget. Interacts with divisional financial manager as needed to ensure salary support for all fellows is in place. Oversees coordination of pre-award sponsored project submissions.Creates and monitors fellowship schedules to ensure effective training as well as compliance with hour mandates.Coordinates structured clinical year-long training program for fellows in first year of fellowship program.Acts as liaison with Oncology clinical operations as it relates to fellow clinical practice. Ensures patient care transitions effective between fellowship trainees.Develops and oversees GME- compliant evaluation and feedback processes for fellows. Liaisons with Cancer Center administration to ensure faculty compliance in providing evaluations to trainees. Develops and maintains systems for tracking all ACGME milestones and research assessments and training program metrics for the Fellowship Program, across all years of training. Develops annual report on training activities. Develops assessment tools in compliance with GME mandates for yearly programmatic assessment. Manages and implements GME- compliant recruitment policies and processes. Works collaboratively with Fellowship leadership on developing, implementing and assessing new educational and clinical initiatives in accordance with GME requirements. Meets biweekly with Cancer Center and Fellowship leadership to discuss fellowship processes. SKCCC Medical Oncology Clinical AdministrationOversees inpatient Moonlighting schedule. Develops processes to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care on the inpatient services. Develops attending schedules, house staff schedules, fellow supervision schedules.Ensures coverage for all services in Oncology to guarantee fellow/physician coverage at all times on all services.Oversees Qgenda schedules, maintaining real-time updates and ensuring all services are adequately staffed. Oversees the House staff Rotations in inpatient and outpatient Oncology. Works with GME office, MSO and SOM Registrar's office to ensure timely and compliant initiation of clinical care. Manages both internal and external medical student and house staff clinical and research rotation requests. Responsible for administrative oversight of the Medical Oncology organization unit.
