Position Overview AITC is looking for an experienced Electronic Tech Maintenance II professional to support the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP) Contract. Responsibilities / Duties Perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment Perform preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents Perform inventory of spare/repair parts IAW contractual guidelines Enter work order data in a timely and accurate manner into the management information system Apply basic and advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems May supervise, provide direction/guidance, and check lower-level technicians' work Ensure that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner Read and interpret schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance Other duties may be assigned May require travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS Minimum Requirements 2 - 5 years' experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting Intermediate computer and networking skills Working knowledge of Cisco, Microsoft and Linux OS experience required Valid driver's license and On-Post driving privileges required Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required IAW appropriate OSHA standards Work independently and as part of a team Preferred skills & knowledge Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) Experience utilizing test equipment to include: torque wrenches, volt/micrometers, network cable crimping/testers and solder stations to support repairs Physical Demands Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally and walk short distances. Able to move between hangers on foot to access the training devices. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading. Must be able to lift 20-30 lbs. overhead, climb 6-10 ft. ladders (with appropriate safety gear) The worker is required to have strong hand-eye coordination and proficiency in using tools like soldering equipment.
