π Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery (RN) π Location: Houston, TX $41.62/hr. to $52.03/hr. π About Our Hospital: We've been a cornerstone in women's and newborn care since 1976 and remain the state's top-tier facility solely dedicated to the health of women and newborn infants. Conveniently located near the renowned medical center in Texas, our hospital boasts: Bed Capacity: 397 licensed beds. Specializations: A state-of-the-art NICU, comprehensive womenβs health services, and newborn care. Medical Professionals: Over 650 board-certified physicians specializing in gynecology, obstetrical care, high-risk pregnancy, and minimally invasive surgery. Role Insight & Responsibilities: Shifts Available: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday, 11am-7pm Primary Duties: Oversee and administer nursing care and other related services. Foster a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, incorporating nursing, medical, respiratory care, laboratory, pharmaceutical, and public relations. Contribute to budget formulation and adhere to budgetary guidelines. Champion and assess continuous process improvement within provided services. Manage all human resources aspects including hiring, evaluating, termination, counseling, coaching, and staff development. Direct professional nursing practices to maintain quality patient care through evaluation of clinical practice standards. Establish, review, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Implement and review disaster preparedness policies and procedures. Offer round-the-clock coverage and problem resolution for the services provided. Other duties as assigned. Your Eligibility: Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care staff experience and 2 years in a Charge or Supervisor role specifically in the L&D unit. Educational Background: BSN (Mandatory), MSN and RNC (Preferred). Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas. Certifications: BCLS Medication Learning Module NRP and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification required within six (6) months of hire. Unit Insight: Bed Count: 45 beds in the L&D unit. Team Size: The manager will oversee approximately 40 FTEβs. π Compensation & Perks: Hourly Salary Range: $41.62 (starting) to $52.03 (based on experience).
