Columbia Health Medical Services seeks dynamic clinician with superior clinical and leadership skills to fill the role of Associate Clinical Director. Join our staff of dedicated college health professionals and work with our diverse student population in the stimulating academic environment of the Morningside campus.Under the leadership of the Director, Medical Services, the Associate Clinical Director will provide overall planning, quality assurance, supervision, and coordinator of clinical care provided by clinical teams in Medical Services. The incumbent will provide oversight, guidance and have accountability for structuring the work effectively, defining goals and objectives and ensure integration of services into the overall offerings of Columbia Health. The Associate Clinical Director will provide direct patient care, with emphasis on illness prevention, health education, and patient advocacy to improve overall quality of health for the individual and the Columbia community. The incumbent will collaborate with the Director of Medical Services in long-range strategic planning for Primary Care, facilitate efforts to meet accreditation requirements, and cultivate and sustain strong, collaborative working relationships with colleagues, staff, and other University partners and/or units so that students are provided a seamless health and wellness experience on campus. Qualified to direct the organization's CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) Waive Laboratory Services.Requires MD or DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school and completion of Accredited Residency in chosen specialty (Internal Medicine, Family Practice or related discipline preferred). Must be board certified or eligible. Requires NYS MD license plus current DEA registration, BLS and Infection Control Certificate. Minimum of 10 years related experience with at least 5 years acceptable clinical experience required. Demonstrated progressively responsible leadership experience and proven success in the management of health care delivery or managing clinical operations. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with different levels of staff and across disciplines. Experience with Point of Care Waive and Provider Performed Microscopy Under CLIA, infection control. Expertise in performing medical examinations in routine and emergency situations, and experience in treating common, acute, illnesses, and injuries. Previous leadership and/or supervisory experience required. Ability to use computers to access electronic medical record and electronic schedule and email.
