Crew Chief – Fleet Services Ada County Highway District is now accepting applications for a Crew Chief in Fleet Services at the Cloverdale Maintenance location in the Boise, Idaho area. This is a full-time position with a starting wage of $23.74 - $27.29 per hour, DOQ. ACHD offers an excellent benefit package with medical, vision and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays and membership in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI). Primary Responsibilities: Under general supervision of the Fleet Coordinator, this position will supervise the shop personnel engaged in mechanic work and related projects, assuring compliance of all applicable safety standards, assisting in budget preparation, estimating cost of material, labor and equipment for maintenance activities, overseeing the day-to-day functions of the shop, and training and instructing crew members. Assists in development, implementation, and monitoring of various Preventative Maintenance Programs. Qualifications: The successful candidate should have job knowledge that encompasses safety, inspection requirements and repairs of various equipment including light duty vehicles, heavy construction equipment as well as specialty road maintenance equipment. The successful candidate must have previous Leadworker or supervisory experience in equipment maintenance and repair, and the ability to operate all equipment associated with the performance of assigned tasks. The incumbent must be able to respond to emergency call out situations as requested on a 24-hour basis. Any combination of education, training or experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities , is acceptable.
