BASF CORP seeks Breeding Technical Specialist (Morrisville, NC): Coordinate collaborations across diff orgs providing IT sols that will enhance the productivity of breeding ops & enrich the quality of generated research data. Req bach in Comp Sci, Bioinfo or clly rel'd flds & 10 yrs exp managing data related to breeding and plant-based exprment dsgn for field crops; C++, JavaScript, HTML/ CSS, R, Visual Basic, mobile dvlpmnt frmworks, & SQL DBs; discussing breeding concepts & workflows w/ plant breeders & translating these into user interfaces & algorithms for SW developers; designing & developing apps for germplasm mngmnt, seed inventory, trial dsgns, genotyping, phenotyping, & dynamic data visualizations, incl'g mobile apps to guide the dvlpmnt of an integrated plant breeding sol; interdepartmental project mngmnt; & conducting knwldge trnsfr across orgs. 10% of dom & int'l trvl.
