The Enrollment Management & Student Affairs Division is seeking a collaborative leader with an understanding of the integral role of student finance in supporting student enrollment, student success and student services. The ideal candidate will have the ability to adapt strategy as needed to achieve student and institutional enrollment goals by narrowing the gap in unmet student financial need. The Role of the Director of Student Financial Services The Director of Student Financial Services will lead and be a contributing member of a dedicated team to engage with prospective and current students on all matters related to student finances, financial aid, and billing through proactive communications, educational events, and monitoring of timely inquiry. The Director will lead the departmental through a student-focused philosophy and customer service management of daily office coverage responsibilities.The Director is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating student financial services for the College. Key to this role is the development and ongoing revision of policy, scholarship, aid, state and federal guidelines and regulations to compliment enrollment management plans. The Director supervises the Student Financial Specialists and will train staff on best practices and external regulations related to the field. They will meet regularly with the team to review plans for the effective use of resources and data in determining overall strategies and practices related to goals, expectations, priorities and measures of success. The Director is responsible for the ongoing reporting of up-to-date student financial trends.The schedule for this position is days (8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.), with the occasional evening, weekend, or holiday as needed to achieve goals. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred Work experience with increasing responsibility in higher education with a focus on student financial aid or related financial matters, and enrollment management Experience working with Colleague - Student Information System, Salesforce - Customer Relations Management, Starfish Retention Solutions, and computer assistive technology desired Creative approach to problem-solving and change management a plus PA College has received recognition in The Chronicle of Higher Education's Great Colleges to Work For in the areas of work-life balance and supervisor/department-chair relationships.
