Heavy Equipment/hydraulic Service Technician Mechanic**(This position reports to North Platte, NE and requires relocation or a commutable distance)We have a relocation program to help with moving expenses as well as education reimbursement.Under the direction of our manager the Field Mechanic maintains, repairs and overhauls heavy vehicles, Hydraulic Systems, small engines and industrial equipmentTroubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical, electrical and Hydraulic systems and components on a variety of equipment including but not limited to loaders, forklifts, welders, air compressors, generators and more.Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspectionsAssist with troubleshooting of DC electrical and Hydraulic systems and componentsMaintain service truck and keep stocked with tools and spare partsResponsible for maintaining the service truck logbooks/Tailboards/Safety paperworkResponsible for creating and updating work ordersMaintain shop tools and work areaQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent3-5 years related experienceHeavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification, Rail Safe Certification, and ability to operate equipment is considered an asset.WORKING CONDITIONS:· This position requires a commitment to occasional travel to various projects as required.
