Chief Tech / Lead Radiation Therapist RT(T)Minneapolis Radiation Oncology (MRO) has an opening for a full-time Chief Tech / Lead Radiation Therapist RT(T) in St. Paul working in the Radiation Therapy Department at Regions Hospital. This is a Clinic Supervisor position that coordinates a variety of staff members to effectively run the day-to-day operations of the Radiation Therapy Department. This position also works as a treating Radiation Therapist and trains new hires and float Therapists.Duties: Coordinate efforts of the medical, physics, management, nursing, secretarial, technical and educator staff members to provide comprehensive care for our cancer patients. Provide good communication and collaboration between staff members within the department, business office staff and hospital personnel. Work as a treatment technologist to provide accurate radiation treatments and excellent care to our patients. Supervise, train, coach and review other therapists to ensure protocols are being followed precisely. Monitor staff workload and accuracy. Schedule staff hours, breaks, rotations, cross-training and vacations. Prepare timecards for payroll and other necessary reports. Schedule and lead in-service trainings and employee meetings to facilitate open and positive communication. Implement and maintain policies and procedures. Handle patient or staff disputes, with assistance if necessary. Coordinate work between the hospital staff, department and MRO staff.Requirements: ARRT Certification Minimum of 3+ years clinical experience Prior experience with TrueBeam equipment and Aria / EPIC software strongly preferred Prior supervisor or leadership experience given first preference Excellent communication skills with the ability to supervise and communicate with a variety of personnel Competitive hourly pay available dependent on experience and qualifications.
