Basic Purpose and Scope: The Plant Accountant will take ownership and personal responsibility for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, cost effectiveness, and timeliness of all plant financial activity. The position is expected to drive continued process improvements in the cost estimate process, continuous improvement initiatives, standards rolls, annual operational budgets, capital & asset management & reporting, and financial/performance review and analysis of the plant. Analyze and report trends and variances, opportunities for improvement, and/or risk of missing performance targets on a monthly basis to manufacturing leadership- 30% Support continuous improvement initiatives working cross-functionally as necessary- 15% Support CAPEX Process- 15% Create, maintain & report daily operations metrics-10% Conduct Plant Level Month-End Close-10% Conduct Monthly Operations Review- 5% Develop Plant Level Budget- 5% Analyze and Approve Plant Level Costing System Standards- 5% Develop plant leadership team's (director, managers and supervisors) financial acumen in the areas of budget, capital process, and other activities that have a financial impact.- 5% Ability to meet attendance requirements- On-GoingSupervisory Responsibilities1. NoneMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK: Education: 4 year College / University degree in related field of study. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Certifications: Preference for individuals with any or all of the following certifications; APICS - CPIM Certified in Production and Inventory Management, CMA Certified Management Accountant, CCA Certified Cost Accountant Experience: 3-5 years in cost accounting or supply chain operations financial analysis role Consumer packaged goods or food manufacturing experience preferred Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point) and proven ability to learn other systems Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas effectively and efficiently in the common language Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Perform other activities and duties as assignedTravel Requirements 1.
