Apply Home Study Specialist Lexington, NE • Children Services Apply Description Are you looking to work a flexible schedule ( consisting of days, evenings, and/or weekends), in a diverse atmosphere, and be able to make a difference in your community.Then Lutheran Family Services is where you want to be.Lutheran Family Services of NE is seeking an employee to work Part Time and provide home studies for Foster Care and/or Adoption Services.Essential Job Duties: schedule and meet with clients to complete required home studies Communicate with clients on the progress of current home study progress. Complete a written home study document and meet the standards for each home study Network with other agencies as appropriate. Maintain files on each home study client including identifying, historical and ongoing progress information. Maintain the confidentiality of all clients and adhere to agency/client record security procedures. Maintain a positive, respectful and professional demeanor in all contacts with clients, other professionals and the public. Requirements Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services or related field required• Knowledge of attachment and grief issues.• Possess a basic understanding of the child welfare/NDHHS system required• Possess good written/verbal communication skills.• Possess good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and activities.• Possess basic computer skills including Microsoft Word & Outlook• Valid Nebraska driver’s license, proof of liability insurance and ability to drive for Agency business.• Commitment to the mission of Lutheran Family Services .
