Database Administrator (Plano, TX) Responsible for database creation, maintenance, configuration, migration, upgradation, performance tuning, database cloning, backup and recovery, RMAN, RAC, Standby database setup, DR Planning, and database administration utilizing Oracle9i, 10g, 11g, MS SQL Server, Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL*Plus, STATSPACK, DBMS Packages, Export/Import, SQL*Loader, RMAN, Oracle Net, TOAD, BMC Remedy, SCOM, Linux , SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX Shell Scripts, HTML/DHTML, XML, SQL*Net, Net 8, TCP/IP, FTP, etc. tools and technologies;and troubleshooting of various Oracle products/versions on different platforms covering RHEL and HP-UX; monitoring & Troubleshooting Oracleerror logs, Various Scheduled DBA Server Agent jobs, Maintenance plans; Troubleshoot Database performance issues using Automated Workload Repository (AWR), OEM, SQLT and Automatic Database Diagnostics Monitor (ADDM). Tune databases for optimum performance. Travel to various unanticipated client locations within the United States for short and long term assignments. Must have bachelor* degree in scienceor engineering besides 6 months experience as a Database Administrator / Database Developer / Software Engineer / Related. (*any suitable combination of education, work experience & training found to beequivalent is acceptable to the minimum requirements.)
