# RPM The Faculty Workload Coordinator has responsibility for evaluating, processing and analyzing full and part-time curriculum and continuing education faculty workload records to ensure compliance with college, state and federal requirements related to the Affordable Care Act ( ACA ). The Coordinator provides administrative leadership and technical support to all instructional areas related to faculty workload. Responsibilities include developing, communicating and updating college-wide procedures, training faculty and staff, creating and producing reports, and researching and interpreting updates to ACA laws and regulations. Other related duties include coordinating with the offices of scheduling, human resources and financial services to ensure accurate documentation for benefits determinations. Duties/Functions In collaboration with the ACA Benefits Coordinator, develop college-wide policies and practices to assure college remains compliant with ACA regulations. Serve as a College subject matter expert ( SME ) on current Affordable Care Act laws and perform research as needed to keep abreast of changes (in these laws) as they occur. Make recommendations and communicate pertinent information to managers/senior administrators as changes are made to the Affordable Care Act. Advise, assist, and train academic administrators, department chairs, directors, coordinators and administrative assistants on workload processes and procedures for calculating and tracking number of hours per week/semester for part-time faculty positions. Verify appropriate permissions have been obtained to allow part-time faculty to work beyond the designated maximum hours per week/semester. Communicate all non-compliance issues to instructional managers and/or senior leadership in a timely manner. Proactively monitor and analyze data in reports to pinpoint potential issues that could lead to non-compliance for part-time faculty with the ACA . Track new part-time faculty members initial measurement, administrative, and stability periods and transition faculty member to college-wide standard measurement, administrative, and stability periods after initial period. Prepare, evaluate and process full and part-time faculty workload records in compliance with college policy. Compile and prepare reports to validate faculty workload records. Generate and distribute faculty contracts. In collaboration with Human Resources, provide accurate workload data for use in making benefit determinations for adjunct employees in accordance with the Affordable Care Act. Process and track full time faculty release time and overload pay in accordance with college policy and procedure. Process and track full and part-time faculty non-instructional workload assignments. In coordination with the Scheduling Coordinator and Continuing Education Registrar, ensures all personnel assignments/changes to section records are accurately documented and entered in a timely manner. Develops and updates standard written procedures/processes for area functions. Provides rigorous analysis and problem-solving strategies for complex Office of Instruction issues. Provide back up support for other Office of Instruction functions related to area of assignment. Demonstrate and model the Colleges employability skills: adaptability, communication, information processing, problem solving, responsibility and teamwork.Additional Duties and Responsibilities Participates in implementation of new systems or processes to include application, test and conversion. Compiles data for reports and provides preliminary analysis as required, related to Office of Instruction projects. Difficult Challenges Contacts Education Required Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university. Education Preferred Masters degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Experience Required Three years of experience coordinating and analyzing complex databases. Experience with integrated database systems (i.e., Colleague or Banner). Experience with software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) specifically the spreadsheet component (e.g., Excel). Experience Preferred Five years of experience coordinating and analyzing complex databases. Experience with contract preparation and generation. Experience with human resource law and regulation. Experience developing written procedures. KSA Required KSA Preferred Department/Job Specific Requirements Upon employment and within first 30 days of hire, must complete the following college training matrix but not limited to: Discrimination & Anti-Harassment; Personal Information Protection ( PIP ); Ethics, and Shooter on Campus. Annual refreshers are required thereafter. Physical Demands Work is typically performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a computer terminal.
