Innovate to solve the world's most important challengesBe part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to mechanical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve techniques, procedures, and products and technologies. You will design products to meet customer needs, product quality, manufacturability, new product development, prototype builds, testing, and may serve a project manager role for smaller development projects. You will develop the product designs necessary to drive product improvement and will be integral in securing present and future business by consistently meeting or exceeding Voice of Customer requirements. U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.Key Requirements & Responsibilities• Design and analysis using complex finite element methods• Provide technical oversight to global engineering teams across time zones• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers• Requirements validation• Project and product compliance• Risk management• Process Development• Root Cause and Corrective Action#LIYOU MUST HAVE• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering• Minimum of 5 years of experience performing structural analysis on gas turbine engines and/or other structural, load bearing components and systems• Proficiency in linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, & crack growth analyses• Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software & classical hand calculation methodsWE VALUE• Experience with LS-DYNA analysis in the areas of High Speed Impact/Projectile Containment/Bird Strike• Experience with Rotor Dynamics analysis• Experience with Gear analysis, AGMA Standards, OSU LDP/KISSsoft/ROMAX/MASTA• Experience with Bearing analysis, AFBMA Standards• Experience with 1D Physics System Simulation using the basic principles of Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Dynamics, & Heat Transfer • Ability to mentor others• Significant experience with new product development in a highly regulated environment• Ability to analyze and solve complex and challenging problems• Effectively operate in a matrix organization• Track record of successful contribution to products & projects• Excellent written and oral communication skillsAdditional InformationJOB ID: HRD213073Category: EngineeringLocation: 111 S 34th St.,Phoenix,Arizona,85034,United StatesExemptEngineering (GLOBAL)Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
