The School of Business at the University of Washington Bothell invites applications for a full-time (100% FTE) 9-month, not tenure eligible Lecturer position in Finance. This position is for a 3-year term and is eligible for renewal. The appointment will begin on September 16, 2020.The position requires the teaching of eight courses over three academic quarters - Autumn, Winter, Spring. Additional opportunities to teach may be available based on school need. The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate courses in our Bothell campus and in our Bellevue Eastside Leadership Center. They will be expected to lead the school's Financial Management Association club as faculty advisor and be devoted to student success.Typical teaching assignments include courses like Investments, Financial Institutions, Derivatives, and/or Advanced Valuation. Candidates who are interested in research will have access to databases such as CRSP, Compustat, and others provided through WRDS. Qualifications Applicants must have demonstrated teaching expertise in investments or financial institutions. Candidates should have demonstrated evidence of high-level proficiency in teaching finance courses independently at the university level.A Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance or Business is required, and a Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in a relevant field would be a positive factor for consideration.The position is open until filled, although complete applications received by Mar 1, 2020 will receive priority consideration.
