The West Coast Business Development position is responsible for identifying and developing strategic business relationships within existing and potential customers, working closely with the Director of Global Business Development. We are seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, passion for sales and a proven track record of success, who takes a hands-on approach to building business opportunities. Job Description and Responsibilities Strong understanding of company products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive Initiates actions and decisions necessary to attain all established department sales objectives. Collaborates with leadership to establish and execute a sales goal for the geographic region Develops specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term for the region Maintains contact with key customers in the geographic region Responsible for new business development through existing accounts and new accounts Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors. Minimum travel requirement up to 50% of the time. Completes all other assignments that may be required by the company Maintain current client relationship and identifying areas for potential clients Skills and Traits Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills Critical thinker and problem solver Great communication and presentation skills Effective negotiating skills Developing & Implementing business plans, goals & strategic sourcing Knowledge of forecasting and planning Demonstrates and understands application of effective selling strategies & techniques Excellent financial management skills Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities Demonstrates success in meeting sales goals & growing sales Monitoring the marketplace to identify business opportunities Technical knowledge of the company's products Problem solving and analytical ability Multi-tasking Project & Time management skills Ability to understand & interpret financial information Entrepreneurial and Marketing skills Excellent command of MS Office and CRM software Sales experience in business or a related area Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field 4-6 years' experience in business development, sales management, or relevant fields Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 5-10 years' experience in the Aerospace industry Direct Supervisor Director of Global Business Development recblid 482eyz5amxxmw477t8wajv3blhcecj
