SMT Operator (1:30PM-10PM)

Description:
Job Description: Set up machines: screen printer, Pick & Place, and reflow oven Process control and operator level of preventative maintenance of the above equipment Perform loading and unloading to and from machine independently Set up feeder to machine per set up Perform the simple machine change over Identify the basic SMT components Set up SMT parts to correct feeder Make sure all process tools, stencils or fixtures are in house before starting the set-up process Touch up soldering and repair work of defects generated by the machine Checking machinery to ensure they are operated in a safe manner Alert supervisory and maintenance colleagues regarding necessary equipment repairs Ensure assembled product meets compliance standards Work closely with SMT process engineer Other various tasks as needed to support customer requirements and production schedule Overtime may be required as needed Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent 2 years’ experience with SMT and through-hole assembly Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as an SMT operator Prior contract manufacturing experience is a plus Electronic SMT machine assembly experience Experience with component packages Ability to read set up lists Knowledge of electronic components Knowledge of machine operation of Tape and Reel and feeder loading Good understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) and Assembly Drawings Fluent with SMT Package sizes and component identification Computer skills a must Mechanical skills an asset Comply with general and machine safety requirements Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs Must be a U.S. Person per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15 This is a full-time, on-site position and cannot be supported remotely
