The ideal candidate should have experience, with a preference for law firm experience and a technical degree. The role requires proficiency in handling cases related to biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or related fields. Superior academic credentials, patent litigation experience, and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.Duties:Handle intellectual property litigation cases, specializing in biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or related fieldsConduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documentsCollaborate with technical experts and professionals to understand complex scientific and engineering conceptsPrepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trialsCommunicate effectively with clients, providing updates and legal adviceWork closely with senior attorneys to develop and implement case strategiesAnalyze and assess the merits of intellectual property claims and defensesStay current with developments in intellectual property law and relevant scientific and technical fieldsAssist in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processesCollaborate with cross-functional teams within the firm to provide comprehensive legal servicesRequirements:Experience in intellectual property litigationLaw firm experience and a technical degree are preferredAptitude for working on cases related to biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or related fieldsOutstanding academic credentialsPatent litigation experience is requiredSuperior written and oral communication skillsEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolTechnical degree (preferred)Certifications:Admitted to practice law and in good standing in the relevant jurisdictionSkills:Strong legal research and analytical skillsAbility to understand and work with complex scientific and technical conceptsExcellent written and oral communication skillsProficiency in drafting legal documents and presenting legal argumentsEffective collaboration and teamwork Lauded as an excellent firm for which to work, this firm has been cited as a top firm for minority and diversity hiring.
