The ideal candidate will bring relevant experience, demonstrate a strong background in patent litigation, and possess outstanding academic credentials. Preference will be given to candidates with law firm experience and a technical degree, especially those with an aptitude for handling cases related to biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or related fields.Duties:Handle a variety of intellectual property litigation cases, with a focus on patentsWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams and technical experts to understand complex scientific conceptsConduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documentsParticipate in and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trialsCommunicate effectively with clients, providing updates and legal adviceDevelop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneysAnalyze and assess the merits of intellectual property claims and defensesStay abreast of developments in intellectual property law and relevant scientific fieldsParticipate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processesRequirements:Experience in intellectual property litigationPreference for candidates with law firm experienceTechnical degree preferred, with an aptitude for cases related to biology, chemistry, physical sciences, engineering, or related fieldsOutstanding academic credentialsPatent litigation experience is requiredAdmitted to practice law and in good standing in the relevant jurisdictionEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolTechnical degree (preferred)Certifications:Admitted to practice law and in good standing in the relevant jurisdictionSkills:Strong legal research and analytical skillsAbility to understand and work with complex scientific and technical conceptsSuperior written and oral communication skillsProficiency in drafting legal documents and presenting legal argumentsEffective collaboration and teamwork Lauded as an excellent firm for which to work, this firm has been cited as a top firm for minority and diversity hiring.
