Description:

The Program Coordinator, Summer Study supports the planning and operations of the Babson Summer Study program for high school students including pre-program planning and participant training beginning in February through program delivery: July through August. WHAT YOU WILL DO Assists in the execution of program operations related to the Summer Study program including the Summer Study admissions process via Slate, review of Summer Study applications, support for certificate licensees, contracts, invoices, program logistics and scheduling, and technology support as needed. Ensures that all students participating in the Summer Study program are compliant with the necessary paperwork, tuition deposits, payments, documents, etc. Works closely with the Director, Youth Impact Lab in support of the Academic Mentors for the program including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, and onboarding Academic Mentors; coordinating Mentor orientations, kick off events, and presentations; finalizing schedules/confirming Academic Mentor teaching teams for all Summer Study cohorts/sections; ensuring appropriate and timely payment for all Mentors. Responsible for ensuring appropriate technology support for the program including working with Babson IT to reserve online classrooms; ensuring program faculty, staff, speakers, and students' technology needs are met and any challenges are resolved as quickly as possible; assisting faculty in uploading materials into the Learning Management System; ensuring scholarship recipient's technology needs are met; and assisting when needed in the updating of information into online program systems. Prepares program-related client and faculty invoices/compensation requests. Supports the Director in the hiring of any seasonal staff, faculty, and student interns; may serve as the communicator of information among Summer Study program staff and faculty, including sharing information regarding program logistics, assignments, and pre-work. Oversees procurement of program supplies. Assumes additional responsibilities as required. YOUR TEAM WILL INCLUDE N/A WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED Bachelor's Degree Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of increasingly responsible relevant program management, including operations, communication, customer service, etc. Ability to work autonomously on complex tasks and continuously update and improve operations and communication processes. Must have strong customer-service orientation and planning skills. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills. Must have excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize work. reative, and capable of handling multiple projects at one time and meeting deadlines. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate in a cross-cultural environment. Must be a team player with ability to take initiative and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Must have a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible in changing conditions. Ability to work with ethnically, culturally, and socially diverse students, staff, faculty, and other constituencies. Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results. Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions. HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK Must be able to occasionally attend programs, meetings, and events during evenings and/or weekends. All Babson College faculty and staff authorized to work on campus must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any appropriate boosters . ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE Enthusiastic self-starter with strong desire to empower youth and their educators and community leaders preferred.
