Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community, is seeking a Part-Time Sandwich Maker to join our dining department team. This position will work during the day (except for Sunday late afternoon shift) and includes every other weekend.Riddle Village is considered retirement living at its finest. About the Server Position: Under the supervision of the Executive Chef, the sandwich maker is responsible for preparing palatable entrées, using proper amounts of sandwich items in the cafe, according to requests, standardized recipes, preparation methods, portion control, time schedules, and sanitary standards, as well as serving procedures. Job Requirements: • Must be at least 18 years of age• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions• Must have an interest in working with the elderly• Must display excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of a team• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds• Must be able to work every other weekend with shifts that are 9 AM - 3:30 PM on weekdays and Saturdays and 2 PM-7:30 PM on Sunday• Must have at least 1 year of continuous experience preparing sandwiches• Must be able to compute quantities of food needed• Must know the basic skills of preparing food, including hot and cold sandwiches• Must be able to stand most of the time, walk short distances, stoop, and reach for food.
