CTS is looking to hire a Controls Engineer to run and support multi-million-dollar custom automation projects.A Controls Engineer is responsible for the designing of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems, analyzes prints, troubleshoots and debugs electrical and pneumatic designs, determines material and component specifications, and writes programming to operate machinery at a high level of proficiency.This is a mid-level position, capable of designing and troubleshooting complex electrical functions while working independently. Hardware knowledge (Hands on experience) PLC - Allen Bradley: CompactLogix, ControlLogix, MicroLogix, Siemens, Symax 50, Festo: Smart Valve, HMI - Allen Bradley: Panelview, Panelview Plus, Siemens: TP, OP Series. Communications - Allen Bradley Ethernet I/P, ControlNet, Devicenet, Siemens: Profibus. Variable Frequency Drives - Allen Bradley Powerflex Robotics - Denso, Epson, FANUC Linear Actuators - Intelligent Actuator, Festo, Tolomatic, Rexroth. Servos - Allen Bradley: Kenetics 6000, SERCOS Servo Drive Interface, Yaskawa: SGDV, SGDH. Vision - Keyence / Cognex / DVT. Data Acquistion - Keithley: DAS-1400, DAS-1600, PIO-120 Software knowledge PLC - Allen Bradley: RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 500, Siemens: Step 7, Mitsubishi HMI - Allen Bradley: FactoryTalk View Studio, RSView, PanelBuilder, Siemens: ProTool. Communications - Allen Bradley: RSNetworks, RSLinx, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Siemens: Profibus. Servos - Allen Bradley: Kinetics 6000 Application Development - Visual Basic v4.0, v5.0, v6.0, National Instruments LabWindows, National Instruments LabVIEW Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. 2+ years in related field. Minimum Qualifications : High School and Vocational Technical school with 5+ years of experience as a controls technician. ORAssociate's degree in electrical engineering and 2+ years as a controls technician.
