ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE INTERNSHIPS Matrix is always looking for outstanding undergraduate and graduate level students that share our passion for solving challenging problems for our customers. HOW WILL THIS POSITION CONTRIBUTE? Mission: Help us fulfill our mission of developing, integrating, and transitioning advanced multi-sensor military capabilities into fieldable systems by working with and learning from our exceptional technical staff. How: Using industry best practices and as part of a team that: refines system requirements, creates a system-level design, and then creates, tests, and fields various military systems. WHAT SKILLS ARE NEEDED? Required: Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or a related technical field . Students seeking a Bachelor's degree must be a Junior or Senior. Desired or Will Train: Strong math and statistics background, Programming and code development experience with both Python and C++, Debugging of data analysis codes, Experience implementing Machine Learning algorithms, or implementing techniques from derivations in technical articles, Exceptional understanding of computers, computer networks, internet protocols, software and hardware repairs, Experience with efficient data structures in C++ platform, Database management, Strong math and physics background, Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions, Prefer candidate with experience using Git, Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Ability to work with others in a friendly professional manner, Detail oriented, Adaptable with the ability to work in a team environment, Demonstrated work ethic, goal-oriented, and past history of academic success.
