A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WORK READINESS - JOB PLACEMENT SUPERVISOR As a Work Readiness and Job Placement Supervisor with our nonprofit, you're responsible for overseeing the execution of workshop curriculum and the administration of industry-recognized credential exams or assessments that showcase participant readiness, aptitude, and skill evaluation. You provide supervision to those conducting workshops and manage employee performance and growth. As needed, you perform administrative classroom duties and prepare participants for unsubsidized employment. You also coordinate teaching schedules, vacations, and other time off for staff. In addition, you oversee the preparation of accurate daily and weekly reports regarding participant training progress, hands-on skills, and work behaviors. Using planned course materials, you instruct participants through both individual and group instructional methods. You maintain participant attendance, punctuality records, test scores, and facilitator reports to hand off to case managers. In both classroom and computer lab settings, you devise and administer practical training exercises to participants. As required, you communicate program concerns and plans for curriculum revision to your supervisor as well as conduct the necessary curriculum and course revisions yourself. Whenever issues arise, you address participants regarding inappropriate behaviors as well as submit timely reports to the appropriate personnel and in our funder system. You also participate in outreach activities for potential consumer referrals and assist in selecting, developing, evaluating, and assigning work responsibilities to workshop facilitators. On a regular basis, you conduct performance evaluations and coaching sessions to ensure our staff is up to date on procedures. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A WORK READINESS - JOB PLACEMENT SUPERVISOR Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field such as psychology, vocational rehabilitation, or occupational rehabilitation from an accredited institution 4+ years of experience as an instructor and familiarity with Certiport, AHLEI, OSHA, or other industry-recognized exam proctoring 1+ years of supervisory experience OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience Covid-19 vaccination Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
