Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW/ ACSW) ($3000 sign on bonus eligible) The LCSW/ ACSW independently provides psychotherapy, social services, psychoeducation to individuals, couples, families, and groups by performing the following duties. Essential Functions: Complies with established department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and patient service standards. Independently p rovides psychotherapy to eligible patients, their significant others and family, as requested and initiated by the patient, or as referred by various providers. Services may be provided in individual or group sessions. Performs comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment for mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, domestic violence and medical needs. Conducts follow-up as appropriate based on results of evaluation. Based on the individualized patient assessment, develops a plan of provision and services. Works with the patient to develop an agreement regarding goals and objectives for therapy, as well as treatment plan and discharge plan. If needed, make referrals for more intensive psychological or psychiatric services. Plans and administers therapeutic treatment such as cognitive therapy, behavior modification and stress management therapy to assist patient in managing their daily life and improving health. Collaborates with physicians, nurses, case managers and therapist regarding patient needs and problems. Refers patients with apparent need for psychotropic medication to physician and/or psychiatrist where appropriate. Participates in integrated system of care, staff meetings, case review, consultation/supervision sessions and other forums as required. Conducts all work within generally accepted standards and ethical guidelines of the social work or counseling professions. Seeks out guidance from BH Director/BH Manager/Clinical Supervisor where questions or concerns may arise. Initiates and takes on special responsibilities as required by grant funded projects and other program developed efforts. Other duties as assigned. Education/Experience Required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) 1-5 years' experience in field Licenses required for this position, must be kept current, valid, and in good standing with the presiding entity. Active CPR, BLS Certification.
