POSITION AVAILABLE: Field Diesel Mechanic – Paving / Micro-surfacing LOCATION: Individual will travel and work with crews to maintain Micro-surfacing fleet . Will work in the Orem shop during lag times and winter.DUTIES: Repairs trucks, loaders, various paving equipment and other pieces of heavy equipment including pavers, rollers, tack trucks, and shuttle buggies, in a safe manner. Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.QUALIFICATIONS: 2 years experience as a Journeyman Diesel Mechanic. Knowledge and training in heavy equipment (yellow iron, including Cat and John Deere) and truck maintenance procedures. Individual must have a current medical card a CDL with tank endorsement (Class A CDL is preferred, B is acceptable). Must have a clean driving record. Must be able to operate computerized troubleshooting programs from laptop in the field.
