Senior X-Ray Detector Scientist

Description:
As a Senior Detector Scientist you will design, analyze, and test radiation detectors for XRF and XRD applications. Develop new detector designs to meet performance requirements for current and emerging applications. Apply your technical skills to help provide technical direction for the team to build prototypes. Tests detector performance and analyze results. Executes assignments independently, producing accurate, timely and practical results. Lead detector team projects. Serve as a mentor and technical guide to team members.Activities:Model and analyze detector and system performance requirements and capability.Build and test detector prototypes.Leads the team to develop prototype systems.Effectively communicate technical data and results.Interacts and collaborates with team members.Qualifications/Requirements:PhD in Physics, Electrical engineering or a related discipline.At least three years of experience in an industrial setting.Excellent skills in sensitive laboratory measurements of electronic signals.Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and contribute independently to experimental, computational or analytical problem solving.Expertise in the use of computer programming tools in modeling, analyzing data and/or problem solving.Strong analytical skills.Knowledge of radiation physics fundamentals.Experience working with and developing analytical or numerical physics models of detectors or other similar systems.Experience in characterization of detectors.Experience in detector or component requirements analysis and definition .Experience in designing, testing and using low noise electronic circuits for scientific or engineering applications.X-Ray, xray, detectors, physics, Phd, PhD, electronics, modeling, model, analyze Job Posted by ApplicantPro
