In addition to this, the PT department in our Palmdale hospital has the widest range of settings in 1 facility. Acute inpatient, ARU, outpatient and NICU. With over 20 locations in LA & OC, Interstate Rehab has what you are looking for to take your PT career to new levels. We are seeking a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist -SLP- to join our team in Palmdale, CA. At our Palmdale location, we provide diverse services to our community through the Inpatient to Outpatient continuum of care. You will evaluate and treat patients with a focus on rehabilitating a patient's ability to communicate, improve cognitive skills (ex. attention, memory, reasoning, problem solving), and facilitate a safe swallow to reduce the risk of medical complications. We provide traditional therapies as well as FEES and Vital Stim to appropriate populations. Experience in a medical setting is preferred but CFY candidates are welcome to apply. Responsibilities: Develop therapy and treatment plans for speech disorders Implement standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders Establish treatment goals and milestones with patients Document and store treatment plans and progress reports Update patient progress to relevant parties Research related speech and language problems Qualifications: Previous experience in speech pathology or other related fields Familiarity with communication disorders Ability to build rapport with patients Excellent written and verbal communication skills Positive and patient demeanor Sign On Bonus, full paid benefits, continued education reimbursement, 401K match, relocation assistance, mentorship and great growth opportunities.
